Main Tutoring Restarts Tuesday 8th September!

Following our summer drop-ins, we will formally transition into our structured autumn term running weekly through to December 15th. Sessions will be co-led by world-class chess tutor and National Master, Sasha Matlak.

In the meantime... Summer Holiday Drop-In & Play!

Following our successful summer term pilot sessions, we are excited to announce our Summer Holiday Drop-In & Play sessions!

Somerset Tribe CIC invites young players to join us for a dedicated, neuro-affirming, and social space to develop their chess skills, make friends, and play casual games throughout the summer.

Whether your child is picking up a piece for the first time or preparing for tournaments, our summer sessions are designed to keep minds active in a pressure-free, supportive environment.

Summer Holiday Schedule

• When: Every Tuesday throughout the summer holidays

• Time: 16:45 – 17:45 (Players are welcome to stay until 18:00 if games are unfinished)

• Where: The Bennett Centre Cloisters, Vicarage Street, Frome, BA11 1PU

• Cost: £5 per session (to cover venue overheads), payable via bank transfer or cash.

• Tuesday 18th August

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), Somerset Tribe is committed to making chess accessible to everyone. We are actively applying for grants over the summer to help bring down session costs for families as we move into the main term.
